Fund for the Sustainability of Grand-PréAppeal to all Acadians and Friends of Acadie OBJECTIVE OF THE FUND RAISING CAMPAIGN
Financial autonomy of the Société Promotion Grand-Pré to ensure forever more that Grand-Pré is maintained as the world Acadian Memorial Site, and to ensure the implementation of major new projects on behalf of Acadians the world over.
Since 1997, the Société Promotion Grand-Pré gathered additional funding to ensure that Grand-Pré National Historic Site was showcased properly. This funding allowed the Société to carry out very important projects: the construction of the new Visitor Centre, the mural "Réveil", the retrieval and conservation of the Grand-Pré aboiteau, the "Deportation" sculpture, and the archaeological program at Grand-Pré, just to name a few.
     The dream must carry on. We are counting on your generosity to continue the work already begun for the enhancement of Grand-Pré. Funds will be invested in Guaranteed Investment Certificates in perpetuity. The long term objective is to raise $10,000,000 and to achieve large-scale projects for the enhancement of the historic site, using only the interest, without touching the capital.
