We operate as a non-profit cooperative made up of 40 members, we were formed in 2008, and we work together to reach the following objectives:

•    To develop opportunities to create, exhibit, promote and sell our artwork.
•    To develop opportunities for the public, particularly youth and children to value visual arts and to understand its
importance to culture and heritage.

Evangeline Artists' Cooperative is pleased to offer workshops and courses throughout the year at the Grand-Pré National Historic Site of Canada.

7-Session Carving Course with Dick VanderEyk

Dick VanderEyk - Master Carver provides Instruction in Wood Carving.  Wood will be provided. A materials list will be provided upon registration.

March 20, 27; April 17, 24; May 1, 8, 15

THE EVANGELINE ARTIST'S' COOPERATIVE offers a second 7 week course in wood carving by an exceptional wood carver.

No previous experience required and wood will be provided. A list of suggested tools will be provided.

The course will be held at the  Grand Pre National Historic Site of Canada.

The instructor, Dick VanderEyk has studied with master carver of Bali, Indonesia,

and has been influenced by his exposure to the cultures of many countries where he has lived and worked.

He has been a carving instructor in Nanaimo, BC and in Grand-Pré.

Cost: $130 ($125 for EAC members) non refundable

The course begins Saturday, March 20, 2010 and ends May 15th. See dates above.

Instruction in Watercolor Painting With Brian Atyeo - Master Painter

(Snow Date: March 20)

THE EVANGELINE ARTIST'S' COOPERATIVE offers an exciting opportunity to have a hands on workshop with master painter Brian Atyeo. He is an elected member of the Canadian Painters in Watercolor. He has exhibited his work all across Canada and the United States.His work is in the collections of more than 40 corporate or Government Collections.

The two day workshop will be held on March 13, 14, 2010. In the event of winter storms, the snow date is set for March 20.

No previous experience required. A list of suggested materials will be provided.

The workshop is held at the Grand-Pré National Historic Site of Canada.


Cost: $140 ($100 for EAC members)

Date: Saturday March 13, 14

Time: 9:30am - 4:00 pm

Acrylic Painting Workshop With Wayne Boucher

THE EVANGELINE ARTIST'S' COOPERATIVE  offers an exciting opportunity to have a hands-on workshop with Wayne Boucher. Our three workshops with Wayne last year were sold out quickly!  
Wayne Boucher is an active member of CAR/FAC and of Visual Arts Nova Scotia and was a founding member of the Annapolis Region Community Arts Council. Wayne is an elected member of the Royal Canadian Academy and in 2006 won the juried competition to paint the welcome mural at the Grand-Pré National Historic Site. He has exhibited his work all across Canada, and more recently in Europe. His work is in many collections across the country. Wayne is the recipient of the 2006 Nova Scotia Portia White Award for excellence, innovation, and expression in the arts.

Cost: $ 70.00 (EAC members $50

Time: 9:30am - 4:00 pm
