Blackmore, 1712 PDF Print E-mail

This early English map identifies Grand-Pré as 'Minas Town'. Grand-Pré was sometimes also called 'Minas' because it was the largest Acadian community on the Minas Basin. 'Charles Island' is today's Long Island.
