This beautiful building houses a world-class multimedia show on the Deportation, numerous exhibits telling the story of the Acadians at Grand-Pré, and an excellent gift shop. A Gourmet Picnic at Grand-PréWe invite you to come and enjoy a gourmet picnic in the shade of the old willow trees. The well-known chef Michael Howell does all the work for you. He has prepared a wonderful selection of Annapolis Valley delicacies that are delivered fresh daily to Grand-Pré and conveniently packed in an attractive picnic basket, along with plates and utensils. Live Theatre at Grand-PréCome watch a lively play for the whole family on the life of the Acadians before the Deportation. Written by Daniel Castonguay and performed by four young actors, this amusing play brings to life the early days of Grand-Pré. From Thursday to Sunday, there are several 20-minute performances daily in English and French. Performances take place outdoors or in the memorial church, depending on the weather.
