Acadians Days in Grand-Pré, Sunday July 23rd 2006

Société Promotion Grand-Pré invites you to celebrate Acadian Day at Grand-Pré on Sunday, July 23rd. The program begins at 11:00 a.m. with a mass, celebrated in French by Father Maurice LeBlanc and accompanied by the Chantensemble choir coming from La Baie Sainte-Marie. During the afternoon, there will be several kiosks offering food fare, and arts and crafts of all kinds. There will also be activities for children. Three Acadian groups will be entertaining visitors during the afternoon: Fused, a group of five young Acadians who recently took second place in Frogstock 2006, Feutchaque, a group of four musicians well known for their Acadian folklore, and the group Entourage comprised of a trio who specializes in modernizing traditional songs from the past. The program will conclude with the very energetic and highly entertaining dancers La Baie en Joie, world renowned and representing l’Acadie wherever they perform.

Rain or shine, activities will take place as scheduled, so please came in large numbers; admission for everyone is FREE!
