Call to Artists

"Memory, Space and Heritage"

Grand-Pré (Nova Scotia) January 3rd, 2008 - This is a call to artists for the exhibition: “Memory, Space and Heritage: Acadian Artists Respond to Grand Pre” to be held at the Acadia University Art Gallery in the summer of 2008.

This exhibition is a collaborative project of the Acadia University Art Gallery and the Société Promotion Grand-Pré. We are looking for proposals from artists who have recent work that has responded to the theme of ‘memory, space and heritage’ as it pertains to the Grand-Pré National Historic Site.

Artists working in a variety of media are encouraged.

Proposals should include: an artist’s statement of no more than 250 words that relates directly to the theme, artist cv, and jpeg or slide of work(s) to be shown.

Please include a self addressed stamped envelope for return of proposals.

Proposals are due February 25, 2008.
